• Our Sealed Drag ‘X’-frame reel is the next level in craftsmanship and design! This is a fully CNC machined reel made from aerospace grade aluminum, then hard anodized in a beautiful two-tone silver and brushed gold finish to withstand the harshest elements. The SDX™ has a fully sealed drag using carbon and non-asbestos, disc-brakes to help keep it cool under pressure: literally! The sealed three bearing system keeps all unwanted elements where they belong: out! These features, with tight tolerances, make this reel perfect for saltwater, big game and any other water adventure you have in-store. And to top it off, the SDX™ also includes our exclusive TRAXX™ system!

  Our TRAXX™ system, found exclusively on our SDX™ and SDP™ series reels, is the perfect solution to the problem of guessing what line you last put on your spool. TRAXX™ eliminates the need to rely on unsightly stickers that fade or fall off or using markers on new spools. We’re sure you’ll like it as much as we do!

  How TRAXX™ Works

  The TRAXX™ system consists of numbered & colored spool caps that come with each SDX & SDP reel. Attach the numeric cap to your spool that holds that number line. One color can represent your floating line or line that sits higher in the water column, the other for your deeper sinking lines.

  Each cap is retained to their spool by a small O-ring which keeps it from falling off when the spool is removed from the reel frame. When you remove the spool, the cap stays with spool and line. This makes forgetting what line size is on each spool a thing of the past!
